Description

Circa 1994 "Beverly Hills Cop III" Detroit Lions Jacket Attributed to Eddie Murphy. The Beverly Hills Cop series helped catapult Eddie Murphy into superstardom. The cop from Detroit seems to be in the right (or wrong?) spot when he visits Beverly Hills. The calling card of Murphy's attire is that famous Detroit Lions jacket which he wore throughout. This Lions letterman's jacket was featured in Beverly Hills Cop III from 1994. A letter of provenance from Scott Velvet, owner of Hollywood Rock-N Country, will be forwarded to the winning bidder. "Lions" and a team helmet are on front while "67" is in two-color formation on the leather sleeves. The reverse has a larger helmet with "Lions" just above. The intricate ribbed neckline, sleeve ends and tail trim does match what Murphy wore in the movie. The letter of provenance mentions the following: "The jacket is straight from the costume department and is in its original condition as seen in the movie." The garment shows wear (right sleeve) and has "Mueller #2" "and "2069-0025 E. Murphy jacket" written on a detached hang tag. "TM Athletics," "size 42" and washing instructions labels are in the collar. Letter of provenance from Hollywood Rock-N Country.
