2024 Paris Summer Olympics Gold Medal Presented to Netherlands 4x400M Mixed Relay Team Member Eugene Omalla. The Netherlands delivered a stunning upset in the mixed 4x400m relay at the 2024 Paris Olympics, seizing the gold medal with a time of 3:07.43. Coming into the final as underdogs, the Dutch team-Eugene Omalla, Lieke Klaver, Isaya Klein Ikkink, and Femke Bol-overcame a star-studded U.S. lineup that had just shattered the world record in the heats with a 3:07.41 performance. The race turned dramatically in the anchor leg, where Femke Bol powered past her American rival with a blistering 47.93-second split, securing victory in the final stretch. Team USA, featuring Vernon Norwood, Shamier Little, Bryce Deadmon, and Kaylyn Brown, had looked poised to dominate after their record-setting run, but the Dutch quartet executed a near-perfect race when it mattered most. This win marked a historic moment for the Netherlands, showcasing their rising presence in the sprint relay scene and the strategic brilliance of their lineup. It remains the European record for the event.

Presented is the gold medal presented to Eugene Omala, who ran the opening leg for the world-beating Dutch team and is the current African indoor record-holder for the Men's 400m. We believe this to be the first 2024 Paris Olympics medal to appear on the auction block of a major auction house.

The reverse side showcases the Greek goddess Nike in front of the Panathenaic Stadium, with the Parthenon and the Eiffel Tower subtly depicted in the background, blending symbols of ancient and modern Olympic heritage. Edge is engraved, "Athletisme, Relais 4x400m Mixte." Condition is effectively Mint.?

The ribbon is inspired by the Eiffel Tower's lattice structure, with a deep blue hue, reflecting the tower's original paint color. This thoughtful integration of design elements underscores the medal's role as both a prestigious athletic award and the embodiment of French cultural heritage. The medal is housed in its original display/presentation case along with a sealed example of the official Paris Games poster.
