    Description

2015 American Pharoah Worn Halter. Since the first horseracing Triple Crown was claimed by Sir Barton in 1919, the world had never been forced to wait so long for the feat to be repeated as they did following Affirmed's 1978 trio. Several had come close, but it took thirty-seven years before a new name was added to the sport's most esteemed brotherhood, as American Pharoah, ridden by Victor Espinoza and trained by the great Bob Baffert, took the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness and the Belmont in succession.

Presented is a halter worn by the greatest living horse that unforgettable season, a high-quality creation of leather and brass that derives from Baffert's inner circle, and is accompanied by a letter of provenance from assistant trainer Jim Barnes. Barnes' letter states this was worn before the 2015 Breeder's Cup races in Lexington, Kentucky. It was then donated to help fund the Simunye Project. Letter of provenance from American Pharoah assistant trainer Jim Barnes.
