2013-15 California Chrome Worn Halter Signed by Trainer Art Sherman & Obtained at Charity Auction. This listing has been updated. There is no letter of provenance from Parker View Farm. This was originally obtained from a charity auction in Maryland.California Chrome was oh-so-close to achieving racing immortality in 2014. After winning the first two legs of the Triple Crown, the horse fell a bit short in its attempt to reaching history. This halter was used by California Chrome along the way. "California Chrome" is engraved into a gold nameplate on the leather fixture. Black sharpie signature from trainer Art Sherman is bold but competes for contrast against the dark leather. This was originally obtained from a horseman's charity auction in Maryland.
