    1971-80 Championship Auto Racing Hardbound Reference Books Lot of 5. Originally provided to the press, these professionally bound books document practice and qualifying leading up to the event. The objective was to give the press instant background on the activates leading up to the race. Some include starting lineups, pit assignments, chief mechanics, time trail results and daily summaries. Lot includes: 1971 Indy 500 at Indianapolis and Schaefer 500 at Pocono press information and daily Track Summaries, 1972 Indianapolis 500 and Schaefer 500 press information and daily Track Summaries, 1974-1975 California 500 at Ontario Speedway Press Information, The 1977 Schaefer 500, 1978 Pocono 500, 1979 Music 500 and the 1980 True Value Hardware 500 at Pocono Track Reports. Moderate wear exhibited throughout. Letter of provenance from Dr. Harlen Hunter.
