Description

1966 The Beatles at Suffolk Downs Full Unused Concert Ticket, PSA NM-MT 9 - White Variation (Pop 1/1, Highest Graded). The Beatles staged their third concert tour of America in August 1966, and it was the last commercial tour they would ever undertake. Lasting a total of 19 performances, it was plagued with backlash regarding John Lennon's controversial statement "We're more popular than Jesus now". Various death threats prompted the near cancellation of the entire tour. Although it was a commercial success, ticket sales had noticeably declined in number. After the tour, they would become a studio band and focused exclusively on record production.

This ticket is for the August 18, 1966 concert held at Suffolk Downs in Boston, MA. Due to the original owner likely not attending the concert via a self imposed protest, you could be the beneficiary of this near perfect ticket. Measuring 1.5x4", this pink ticket has simple black print, with an interesting half diamond indentation on both long sides near where the ticket should have been torn by the ticket taker. An excellent specimen ticket from the Beatles last ever concert tour. As of this writing, this is the highest and only Mint 9 white variation on the PSA population report.
