    Description

1965 Topps Battle High Grade Complete Set (66). Difficult to find in any condition, the Topps Battle set from 1965 is similar in nature to its predecessor -- the 1930s classic Horrors of War -- with its often graphic depiction of the gore and violence associated with war. In a sense, the set was just mirroring parallel developments in the new popular medium of TV which was bringing the war into viewers' living rooms. A total of 23 cards have been graded by PSA. Card #'s 58 and 65 are the only PSA 9's. Highlights include: Graded Cards - PSA MINT 9: 6 cards w/#'s 14, 25, 51, 58, 63 Roosevelt (OC) and 65 Cloth Emblem Checklist; PSA NM-MT+ 8.5: 1 card, #54; PSA NM-MT 8: 15 cards w/#'s 1 Fight to the Death, 5, 6, 9, 20, 26, 27, 28, 34, 35, 42, 49, 53, 59 and 62; PSA NM 7: 1 card, #47. Grades 61% NM to NM/MT, 39% EX to EX/MT (some lesser).
