1941 Polo Grounds "Pearl Harbor Attack" Ticket Stub. On December 7, 1941, the New York Football Giants faced the Brooklyn Dodgers, a game famously known as "Tuffy Leemans Day" in honor of their star player. Despite the celebration, the game was overshadowed by the shocking news of the Pearl Harbor attack. Tuffy Leemans and his teammates played through the uncertainty, marking a historic day both for the Giants and the nation, ending in a 21-7 victory for the Giants.
