1932 Lake Placid Winter Olympics Participation Medal. Only 700 examples of this bronze participation medal were cast for this first American edition of the Winter Games. Dimensions are approximately 60x48 mm., and weight 83 g. Oberse features winged trumpet figure; verso six shields picturing winter sports above a snowy landscape. Housed in original cardboard presentation box bearing the maker's mark of "The Robbins Company, Attleboro, Massachusetts."
