1924 Paris Summer Olympics Art Competition Third-Place Winning Medals Lot of 5. French artist Claude-Leon Mascaux took third-place honors in the Art competition at the Paris Games with this quintet of medals he designed and minted. Each features a stylized animal in relief on obverse, and blank-with-wreath-edge verso, leaving room for engraving (though none are currently engraved). Each measures 50 mm. in diameter and weighs approximately 50 g. Fine condition.Additional details and provenance for the Harmer Johnson Olympic Collection.
