1904 Louisiana Purchase Exhibition Silver Award Medal. Unusually named medal (construction is bronze) was issued for the Louisiana Purchase Exhibition, the event held in conjunction with the 1904 St. Louis Summer Olympics. Design by Weinmann features American embracing Louisiana on obverse and eagle with spread wings with award legend on verso. Dimensions 64x64 mm., weight 178 g.
