    Circa 1950 Miniature Racing Car - Midget #45. Ohlsson & Rice, an established model aircraft engine manufacture, first introduced the miniature race car in 1949. The car was billed as "the world's most authentic scale Midget car." An O&R engineer used the Emil Diedt and Lujie Lesovsky built midget that was driver with great success by Johnny Balch as the inspiration for the O&R midget car. The highly detailed die-cast body was available in several colors and could be purchased with or without an engine. This modified model includes an updated engine, bumpers and wheels and tires. Also included was the O&R optional driver wearing a Cromwell helmet. The car is in excellent shape.and measures 11" long, 5 1/2 wide and 4" tall.
