Description

1991 World Series of Poker Winner's Bracelet--First Million Dollar Prize! Nearly a quarter century ago, few could have imagined that a card game could develop into a widely-televised spectator sport, or that it would turn top players into some of the highest paid "athletes" on Earth. Presented is a seminal relic from that rise to prominence, the official winner's prize issued to top shark Brad Daugherty, whose handwritten letter of provenance reads:

"This authentic Championship bracelet was presented to me by Jack Binion after I won the $10,000 buy in main event at the World Series of Poker which was held at Binion's Horseshoe in 1991. Not only does this bracelet represent my winning the 1991 World's Championship of Poker, it also represents me being the first person in history of winning a one million dollar first prize. This is the most coveted prize in poker."

In these early days of the WSOP, the winner could request any engraving he desired for his bracelet, and Daugherty chose his first name and the four suits of cards for the front. Verso provides the pertinent details: "1991 World Championship of Poker, Binion's Horseshoe." Stamped "14K" on verso as well. Fine condition with no flaws to note. Approximately eight inches in length. Letter of provenance from Brad Daugherty.
