Description

1988 Seoul Summer Olympics Torch. Scandal rocked this XXIVth Olympiad, with Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson losing his Gold Medal after a world record performance in the 100 meter sprint after a drug test turned up evidence of steroid usage. And Greg Louganis recovered to take a Gold Medal in diving after a scary injury in the preliminary rounds. The torch crafted for those Games exhibits relay use but otherwise strong condition to flatter its stunning design, which pays tribute to the most celebrated themes of Asian art. Twenty inches (20") long.
