Description

    1962 Ellsworth Vines Wristwatch Presented upon His Tennis Hall of Fame Induction. Important gold watch by noted makers "Zenith" marked an important occasion in Vines' career. Engraved on case verso: "Ellsworth Vines, Tennis Hall of Fame, August 18, 1962, From His Friends at Inwood." The "Inwood" in question is the Inwood Country Club in Cedarhurst, New York, where Vines served as resident golf pro beginning in 1955. Watch is in fine, apparently functional, condition. Original watch box included. Letter of provenance from Ellsworth Vines III.
