1936 Berlin Summer Olympics Ticket Stub, Jesse Owens Advances, PSA/DNA EX-MT 6. From the first day of the Berlin Summer Olympics, Jesse Owens began forging history. With this Aug. 2 ticket, the owner was able to see Owens advance to the finals with his performance in the Men's 100 Meter Quarter-Finals. Owens would go on to win four gold medals overall in sprinting events and a men's relay team. His heroics served as a rally cry for the international community, outraged by the Nazi's attempt to ban Jewish and African-American athletes from competing. Many nations threatened to boycott, and Adolph Hitler relented. America would send the second most athletes to the games, after Germany itself. It would pay off for both nations, as Germany won the overall medal count with eighty-nine, followed by the USA at fifty-six. This ticket presents very well and only a tiny hairline wrinkle on the front brings the grade down to an EX-MT 6.
