Description
1930 Berlin Ninth Olympic Congress Medal. Rare relic of the last of eight Olympic Congresses held between 1894 and 1930. Brandenburg Gate appears on obverse, with Olympic rings over globe and legend on verso. Hefty bronze weighs 278 g. and measures 93 mm. in diameter (though medal is not completely circular). Fine condition. Original hinged leather display case is included.Additional details and provenance for the Harmer Johnson Olympic Collection.
