1915-81 "Twentieth Century Icons of Sport" Photographs Lot of 16 with Ruth, DiMaggio, Ali, Duran & Jordan. Famous 1915 image of a determined twenty-year-old Babe pictured with his arms folded as a Bostonian. Numbered "311/5000". Matted and framed 18.75x15.75" (13.5x10.5" visible in frame)

Babe where he was most happy - in his 1920s Yankee pinstripes and bat, surrounded by a mob of adorning kids, at least two of which are gently touching him. Matted and framed 13.5x16" (8.25x10.5" visible in frame).

Colorized image of DiMaggio circa 1935 eating spaghetti at his kitchen table with his Italian mama looming over him with a wooden spoon. Triple-matted and framed 17.5x24.75" (9.5x12" visible in frame). Checkered red/white mat in frame mirrors the pattern of the table cloth on the Joltin' Joe's table. Manga!

A candid closeup of the great DiMaggio in the 1940s. Two bats are resting across his shoulder as he purveys the field and prepares to take batting practice at Yankee Stadium. Matted and framed 13.25x13.25" (9.75x7.75" visible in frame").

Muhammad Ali versus George Chuvalo (five) and Ken Norton (three), all different and framed 9.5x11.5"; Ali versus Floyd Patterson, matted and framed 14.5x12" (9x6.5" visible in frame); Ali versus Wepner from 1975 bout is signed by the victor in bold silver sharpie with a wonderful inscription: "Love is the net where hearts are caught like fish." He adds a drawing of a heart and the date below. Matted and framed 16x19" (photo measures 11x14").

The "hands of stone" delivers a signature left to the chin of a very unlucky opponent in plaid trunks. Double-matted and framed 14.5x12.5" (8.75x6.75" visible in frame).

Air Jordan chows down as an eighteen-year-old senior at Laney High School. "Good basketball players need to be strong and healthy. Michael Jordan eats heartily to keep up his strength." The offered photo and caption both appeared in the 1981 Buccaneers' yearbook. Matted and framed 14.25x14.25" (8.75x7.25 visible in frame).
