1912-2016 Indianapolis 500 Official Programs Lot of 99. Near complete run of Indianapolis programs missing only the rare 1911 inaugural edition, which Heritage sold in the first edition of The Harlen Hunter Collection last year. This lot includes all other programs--remember, due to the World Wars there was no race held 1917, 1918, 1942 - 1945. All programs are in good to excellent condition with the sole exception of the 1912 edition which has a detached back cover and severe wear to the edges. 1915 and 1919 are missing covers. 1926 has scattered cover staining.

Annually held on Memorial Day and known as The Greatest Spectacle in Racing, the Indy 500 is part of The Triple Crown of Motorsports along with the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Monaco Grand Prix. The event is held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, built in 1909, and typically boasts a crowd of more than 300,000 spectators. It's considered the largest single-day sporting event in the world, with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway featuring the largest spectator capacity of any sporting facility on the planet. The thirty-three entrants run 200 laps on the 2.5 mile circuit for a total purse of $13 million with over $2.5 million going to the winner. Traditionally the winner drinks a bottle of milk in the winners circle. From 1911 - 1955 the race was organized by the American Automobile Association (AAA), the United States Auto Club (USAC) took over control of the race in 1956. Letter of provenance from Dr. Harlen Hunter.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
