Description

1937 Kentucky Derby Full Ticket (War Admiral Victory) PSA EX 5--Only PSA Example! Check the online population and you'll see just one entry for this ticket at any grade, and you're looking at it. This was, of course, one of the most significant editions of the iconic race, with War Admiral going on to win the Preakness and Belmont and thus the fabled Triple Crown. He'd later famously fall to the underdog Seabiscuit in the most anticipated match race of all time. The original owner of this ticket missed the chance to watch history being made (and to rub elbows with gangster extraordinaire Al Capone just prior to his arrest and Alcatraz imprisonment). Minor edge and corner wear is all we can spot to establish the listed grade. Encapsulated by PSA, EX 5.
