Description

1988 Eugene Klein Silks Worn by Gary Stevens aboard Winning Colors, Signed. If the colors and design bring the San Diego Chargers to mind, there's good reason for that, as Winning Colors was owned by Eugene Klein, who likewise held that NFL franchise within his athletic portfolio. The horse was one of three fillies in history to win the Kentucky Derby, but this silk top is not associated with any Triple Crown races. Tail is embroidered, "Mr. and Mrs. Eugene V. Klein," and chest is signed by Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens, who gifted the silks to Jake Mullins, director of the Colors Room. LOA from Weingarten & Mullins. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
