2001 Patrick Roy 500th Victory Game Worn Colorado Avalanche Pads. Only Martin Brodeur has minded an NHL net to more victories than the man honored here, who founded the 500 Win Club during an Avalanche visit to Dallas on December 27, 2001. These are the pads he wore to become the first goalie to reach that lofty summit, doing it in style with thirty-one saves to record the fifty-ninth shutout of his Hall of Fame career.

The Koho pads are coated with the scars of battle, with barely a square inch of space lacking a black puck mark. The pads were originally sourced from Michel Lefevre, the man responsible for supplying this hockey legend with his protective gear. Each pad bears a "Lefevre Pro Series" label. A letter from Lefevre will attend. Our records suggest that this is the only game used gear from that historic contest ever to reach the hobby's auction block. Letter of provenance from Michel Lefevre. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
