Description
1958 Topps Bobby Hull #66 PSA NM-MT 8. He is one of the greatest sports heroes of the city of Chicago. That is no small accomplishment. His name is whispered and revered along with other legends Ernie Banks, Walter Payton and Michael Jordan. He is the only man in NHL history to lead the league in scoring seven times, and the first ever to record fifty goals in a single season. In his fifteen full NHL seasons, Hull was voted the First-Team All-Star left-winger ten times, and the Second-Team All-Star left-winger twice. When the WHA was forming Hull joked that he would only join that league if they paid him one-million dollars... and he got it! In 1972, one-million dollars was a lot of money. His named must be on the list of the 100 greatest NHL players of all-time. In 1957, Bobby Hull was still a fresh-faced teenager with that flowing blonde hair when he signed with the Chicago Black Hawks. The nickname "The Golden jet" was inevitable. It was as the last card of the 1958 Topps series in which he made his trading card debut. It is now one of the most sought after rookie cards in the entire hobby.Graded PSA NM-MT 8. There are just eight others that have equaled the NM-MT grade level with a pair rated higher. After corners, edges, surfaces, printing, etc. the final ranking of this card usually comes down to centering. It is infamous for his boyish portrait being off-centered up, down, left or right. This card offers high quality in all regards including centering which is a millimeter away from perfection. Do not let this amazing example slip through your sights.
