Early 1970's Nick Libett Game Worn Jersey. Absolutely monster wear on this Nixon-era Detroit Red Wings gamer lets us know that hockey isn't a game for sissies. The left winger and former team captain Libett's jersey has heavy team repairs at the elbows and strong fabric pilling throughout. Classic team logo patch is present at center chest, with number "14" applied to each sleeve and verso in white tackle twill. Numerals on verso have become detached from the jersey body in places, but still hold on solidly. Fight strap remains affixed at lower rear interior tail, exhibiting significant oxidation from tough, sweaty use. Washing instructions label is present at interior collar, with size "48" flap tag below, and another with the number "7," perhaps just an inventory code. Jersey dervies from the estate of long time coach and GM of the Red Wings Jim Skinner. Letter of provenance from Jim Skinner, Jr.
