2009-10 Alexander Ovechkin Playoffs Game Worn Washington Capitals Jersey with Team/MeiGray Letter.Ever since Alexander Ovechkin broke into the NHL scene in 2005 he has been one of the most exciting players to watch, and by far one of the most talented. He has already racked up a Rookie of the Year award and was the first player to win the Art Ross Trophy, Maurice Richard Trophy, Lester B. Pearson Trophy and Hart Memorial Trophy. The goal scoring great wore this "CCM size 58" jersey when he dominated the competition during the latter stages of the 2009-10 season. Unrepaired tears are featured on the shoulders from ice encounters. The fire engine red jersey was sourced directly from the organization and includes a MeiGray letter on Capitals' letterhead. The LOA states: "This letter confirms that this Red Set 3 w/C jersey was worn by #8 Alexander Ovechkin during the 2009-2010 National Hockey League regular season and Stanley Cup Playoffs." The Capitals lost a seven game series with the Canadiens in the first round.
A CCM size tag is sewn in the collar while the inner tail holds a MeiGray Group tag ("G05129") and Reebok washing instructions label. A magnificent team logo patch commands the center of the chest, with number "8" applied to each sleeve and verso. "Ovechkin" appears across rear nameplate. Fight strap affixed to rear interior lower tail. A LOA from Gamewornauctions.net states the jersey was worn in the playoff series. MeiGray/Washington Capitals letter of provenance.
