Description

1993 Steve Yzerman Game Worn, Signed All Star Jersey. This lot was originally obtained from former Detroit Red Wings staffer Dominic Marra. During the mid-1980's through the early 1990's, the beloved dressing room assistant developed a close friendship with players such as Steve Yzerman and Gerard Gallant. We are proud to present a wide array of hockey memorabilia that Marra collected throughout his career in the Motor City, and these were consigned directly from Marra's nephew.

A spectacular gamer put to use by the Campbell Conference's starting center in the 1993 NHL All-Star game, this hobby rarity was originally obtained from a Red Wings staffer who was personal friends with the Motor City legend. Worn during the popular exhibition game, the same season Yzerman tallied 58 goals and 79 assists, the black mesh sweater features a large "NHL" crest on the front, while a "1993 Stanley Cup 100th year anniversary" and "Montreal All-Star" patches are affixed.

Signed on the sewn-on tackle twill "9" on the back, it has the proper "Maska" and "[size] 52" tags in the collar. One of four shirts worn by Yzerman in the 1993 All-Star game, this piece will be sure to turn the heads of all major game-worn Red Wings enthusiasts. Letter of provenance from the consignor. LOA from Joe Tomon. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph). Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
