1991 Steve Yzerman Game Worn NHL Campbell Conference All-Star Jersey - Won in Raffle Following the Game. Steve Yzerman was the heart and soul of Detroit hockey during his twenty-one year stay in the Motor City. The man responsible for building the Red Wings into Stanley Cup champions, Yzerman was a captain from his earliest of days until he finally decided to hang up the skates. Worn during the 1991 All-Star contest is this "Maska [size] 48" jersey. The mesh masterpiece shows appropriate one-game use with slight staining in the lower regions (staining probably came after it was used by Yzerman). A Maska manufacturer's tag is placed in the collar and has a faint "48" written to indicate size. Proudly displayed on the front is an oversized NHL shield. Accentuating the right shoulder is a 4.25" 42nd All-Star game circular patch which is balanced off with a star designator on the opposite side. Black tackle twill stars span the entire midsection to add a dose of aesthetics. A stain appears below the "Z" on the NOB and fraying is visible on the reverse digits. The fight strap is still firmly attached to the inside. Yzerman added his personal authentication with a 9/10 felt tip signature on front. Our consignor's son won a raffle following the exhibition and was chosen to receive the shirt off of Steve Y's back. The captain dutifully grabbed a pen and chipped in with his signature.
