Description

1990 Steve Yzerman NHL All-Star Game Worn Jersey. Earning a guaranteed spot in the Hockey Hall of Fame for his twenty-one years of service to the Detroit Redwings, the superstar team captain suited up in this bold black sweater as a participant in the 1990 All-Star Game near the middle of his incredible career. The jersey front offers a large NHL shield in tri-color tackle twill, with six white tackle twill stars at the belt line in front to match the six present on the back side below the sewn identifiers "Yzerman 19." The number "19" is sewn to each sleeve as well, below the generic screened logo of the All-Star Game made famous in the 1960's and 1970's on the left shoulder and the "41st NHL All Star Game" patch on the right. A "CCM" logo appears on the lower rear tail and a "Maska" label is present inside the collar. The laundering/size label has become disengaged. Fight strap is present, affixed to verso of interior. Wear is understandably light for a single game's use, and given the fact that this exhibition match forbids checking. While certainly any gamer from this Detroit hockey legend carries significant collector weight, a jersey signifying Yzerman's status as one of the League's best is clearly very special. LOA from MEARS.
