Description

1982-83 Borje Salming Game Worn Jersey. After signing with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1973, Hall of Famer Borje Salming had immediate success and became the team's rookie of the year and rated as one of the best rookies in the NHL. Salming was a pioneer of sorts and was one of the first European-born players to have success in the NHL, and as a result paved the way for other European hockey players. He played 1148 regular games, 81 playoff games and scored 637 assists and 150 goals during his seventeen-season career and wore this superb jersey during the 1982-83 season with Toronto. All-original and simply breathtaking, this jersey features the team logo front and center, with number "21" on each sleeve and verso. "Salming" is stitched on the rear nameplate, with a small portion of the "S" separated from the plate. Solid use, with multiple team repairs are exhibited on what we consider one of the most attractive game-worn jerseys in this auction. LOA from Spivack & Kraut. LOA from Joe Tomon.
