Description

1978-79 Wayne Stephenson Game Worn Jersey. A star for the St. Louis Blues and Philadelphia Flyers for much of the 1970s, Wayne Stephenson enjoyed NHL success after tending the goal with the Canadian National Team early in his career. "Goodman & Sons" and "Bill Vanderburg" tags found in collar of the orange mesh sweater. Philadelphia's stylized flying "P" design has been applied to the gamer's front. Wear is evident by material pilling and stick marks on the arms and advanced puckering to the rear white-on-black twill "35". Board burns and several tears of the verso numbers further lend to the game use of this piece. An incorrect name plate was added to verso, but it has since been removed and jersey is now all original. Stephenson has placed a blue felt pen signature to the right shoulder. LOA from Rich Ellis. LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph). LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
