1977-78 Guy Lafleur Game Worn Jersey. The all-time leading scorer for the sport's most noteworthy franchise, the Flower posted 518 goals and 728 assists for the Habs during his fourteen seasons in Montreal, thrice leading the NHL in scoring during his illustrious service to the team. The offered durene treasure dates from the second such campaign, his sixty goals tying Steve Shutt for most goals scored by a Canadien in a single season. A Stanley Cup Championship was the finishing touch upon this spectacular season, simply one of the finest ever registered by a single player in the history of the League. It was no surprise that Lafleur added an Art Ross Trophy, a Hart Memorial Trophy and a Lester B. Pearson Award to his mantle for his efforts.

Presented is one of the most desirable Lafleur gamers ever made available at public auction, showing outstanding wear from the most noteworthy season in a career defined by brilliance. Each sleeve is peppered with numerous team repairs, and another two-inch long tear just past the lower hook of the logo "C" on the chest took three different colors of thread to mend. Another needed only blue thread at the right ribs. LaFleur's famed number "10" is applied to each sleeve and verso in white and blue tackle twill. Proper "Wilson [size] 44" label is present at interior collar, and embroidered "77" year swatch is placed at lower left interior side seam. Fight strap remains affixed at lower rear interior tail.

The regal heritage and brutal game use elevates this stunning relic to the absolute height of desirability, and would instantly establish the winning bidder as one of the elite collectors in the hockey discipline. Bid to win. LOA from Milt Byron.

Needless to say I was overwhelmed by the results of the auction and I truly believe it was Jill’s efforts in promoting and displaying the piece that brought in the extra value.
