Description
1974-75 Simon Nolet Kansas City Scouts Game Worn Jersey. Operating for only two seasons after the 1974 expansion of the NHL that also included the Washington Capitals, the Kansas City Scouts selected Simon Nolet in the expansion draft after the Philadelphia Flyers left him exposed. Nolet was named the franchise's first captain, leading the team in scoring during that initial season and making the All-Star Game as the team's only representative. After the 1975-76 season the team relocated to Denver, becoming the Colorado Rockies.The blue captain's shirt that we present here stands as perhaps the finest Scouts jersey in existence. All original, the chest includes attractive French-embroidered crest and white-on-red captain's "C" at the upper left chest. Tagging on collar consists of Wilson size 48 tag and another tag from Gunzo's. Some nice team repairs can be found in the lower sleeve area of each arm. Each sleeve also includes white-on-red tackle twill "17", which appears in the same style in 12.5" numerals on the shirt's verso. All twill identifiers show superb puckering. Interior fight strap remains attached with light signs of rust. Those advanced collectors looking to find the top example of a rare shirt will surely clamor over this gem. LOA from Rich Ellis.
