Description
1972-73 Richie LeDuc Game Worn Boston Braves (AHL) Jersey. From 1971-81, Richie LeDuc played professional hockey in the NHL (Boston Bruins and Quebec Nordiques), WHA (Cleveland Crusaders, Cincinnati Stingers, Indianapolis Racers, and Quebec Nordiques), and the AHL (Cleveland Barons and Boston Braves), and is a member of the WHA Hall of Fame.Here were present LeDuc's beautiful and rare Boston Braves gamer from the 1972-73 season. Sumptuous maroon durene features white collar, black drawstrings, and black shoulder yoke displays "Braves" diagonally scripted and underscored across the chest, with "18" on the verso and sleeves, all screened-on in white on black tackle twill.
Other notable features of this jersey include a "Wilson" label in the collar, with size "48" hand-written in faded vintage black laundry marker; "Bruins style" double fight straps; Atlanta Braves letter font; black and white striping on the sleeves, tail and back; and six team-executed repairs, including three in the collar/drawstring area.
The Boston Braves were a three-season (1971-74) AHL franchise, whose jerseys are rare and highly prized by vintage uniform collectors. This is the first exemplar we have ever offered. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
