1980 Olympics Men's Hockey Tickets, Lot of 4. Men's hockey at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York, is best remembered for the "Miracle on Ice," when the underdog United States team shocked the heavily favored Soviet Union in a 4-3 victory. The U.S. team, made up of mostly college players and coached by Herb Brooks, played with discipline, speed, and resilience against a Soviet squad that had dominated international hockey for years. That win came in the medal round and set up a gold medal clincher against Finland, which the U.S. won 4-2 to cap an improbable and emotional run.
