Description

1960's Terry Sawchuk and Milt Schmidt Multi Signed Photograph. For as accomplished as Hall of Famer Terry Sawchuk was on the ice, his life away from hockey was unfortunate and ended tragically. Untreated for depression, a condition that often affected his mood and conduct, Sawchuk never recovered after a drunken argument with Rangers teammate Ron Stewart and the "horseplay" ended up putting him in the hospital with internal injuries. Sawchuk died at the early age of 40, and as a result, his signed memorabilia is rarely seen throughout hobby circles. One of the toughest signers in all of sports, Sawchuk signed this 8x9.75" vintage magazine clipping, and is joined by fellow Hall of Famer Milt Schmidt. The photograph exhibits superb condition and presents Mint black felt-tip ink signatures from each hockey notable. Few would disagree that Sawchuk was the best goaltender of all-time, and this is one of the nicest exemplars from the key player of the 1950's Red Wings dynasty. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
