    Description

1945-54 Quaker Oats Max Bentley #7B Home Dressing Room Photograph. Part of a promotion that Quaker Oats ran from 1945-54, the Max Bentley 8x10" glossy print that we present here ranks as one of the more desirable of the entire issue and is rarely seen in any condition, let alone the sparkling presentational shape that the given offering exhibits. The 1946 Hart Memorial Trophy winner Max Bentley has a total of three variations in this set, which was available for order from Quaker between 1945-54. Presented here is the rarest of all of those variants, a shot of the Hall of Famer taping up in the dressing room. A small 1/2" tear at the photo's right edge remains the only visual detractor. The finest exemplar of this tough premium that we have ever seen.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
