1941-42 Toronto Maple Leafs Presentational Team Photo Display. The 1941-42 Toronto Maple Leafs finally ended the team's Stanley Cup drought of nine seasons, when in the club's 25th season in the NHL the Leafs came back after being down zero game to three, and defeated the Detroit Red Wings in a thrilling seven-game series. Offered here is a team photo display that is one of the pieces that was presented to each player of the team. This particular piece originates from the "Ernie Dickens Estate," and features a unique border representing all seven teams of the National Hockey League. The display consists of heavy stock cardboard, and measures at 12.25x19". Moderate discoloration from aging is present on this piece, and minor wear is exhibited throughout. According to Heritage hockey expert Bill Campbell, this is one of only three 1941-42 Maple Leafs presentational team photos that has ever hit the market, making this a real treasure for any serious vintage hockey enthusiast.
