1911 Princeton Original Team Cabinet Photograph and Ticket Stub From Hobey Baker's Last Game. 1911 Princeton Original Team Cabinet Photograph and Ticket Stub From Hobey Baker's Last Game. 1911 Princeton Original Team Cabinet Photograph and Ticket Stub From Hobey Baker's Last Game. Widely recognized as the first American star of ice hockey, Hobey Baker made a name for himself on the rink and the gridiron while attending Princeton University. During WWI, Baker served with the 103rd and the 13th Aero Squadrons and was later promoted to captain and commander of the 141st Squadron. While flying a plane during a test run in 1918, Baker crashed and was killed at the age of 26. Offered here is an extremely scarce Princeton team photograph from the 1911 champion squad, featuring the Pennsylvania native in the first row - far right. Photograph (4.75x6.5") exhibits minimal wear, while it is affixed to its original 7x9" cardboard backing. Also included is an original ticket stub from Baker's final college football game, which took place between Yale and Priceton on November 15, 1913. Stub exhibits great eye appeal, has been deemed "trimmed" and grades a PSA Good 2. An esteemed member of the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, NHL Hall of Fame in Toronto and USA Hockey Hall of Fame in Evel Minnesota, this lot offers a rare opportunity to obtain two of very few pieces that exist representing the gone but not forgotten sports hero.
