    Description

1969-70 Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Championship Ring & Cufflinks Presented to Team Head of Public Relations. The celebration began even before his body fell back to Earth, and the famous photograph of Bobby Orr's levitation in the instant following his sudden death clincher has served to immortalize this fourth of the franchise's six Stanley Cup Championships to date as the greatest of them all.

Here we present the ultimate symbol of NHL achievement, a championship ring and pair of cufflinks created to commemorate the end of a three-decade drought for the long-suffering bears of Beantown. They derive from the personal collection of Herb Ralby, legendary public relations man for the Bruins.

Identical in design to those earned on the ice by Orr, Esposito and Bucyk, the ring features a real diamond set into a black stone on the face, encircled with the celebratory text, ""Boston Bruins World Champions." Left shank reveals an image of Lord Stanley's cup in miniature, flanked by three banners reporting the results of the playoff series en route to the Championship. The Bruins logo appears at right, with "H. Ralby" engraved above.

Interior band is stamped, "Balfour 14K" and measures to a size eight (8). Weight is thirty-one grams (31 g.).

Matching cufflinks are essentially repurposed ring tops, though the "diamonds" are cubic zirconias. Balfour stamping on verso of each indicates fourteen karat gold construction. Each weighs approximately ten grams (10 g.) individually. All pieces remain in fine condition with minimal evidence of use.
