Description
1952-53 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup Championship Bowl Presented to Maurice Richard. Unquestionably, one of the greatest legends ever to lace up the skates, Maurice Richard was the first player in history to score 500 goals, while in the process the Montreal native was a key part of eight Stanley Cup-winning squads. Appropriately elegant prize recognizing the Canadiens' victory in the 1953 Stanley Cup Finals was presented to the incomparable Hall of Fame legend, Rocket Richard. Intricate design work leaves space for the engraving of the particulars, which read, "Club de Hockey Canadien Inc., Maurice Rocket Richard," and "National Hockey League, Stanley Cup Winners, Season 1952-53." The silver-plated copper bowl shows moderate tarnishing, while no dents are present, whatsoever. Originally sourced from the Richard's personal collection, it stands six inches tall with a bowl diameter of eight and a half inches. An absolutely marvelous artifact representing the storied franchise's seventh Stanley Cup championship.Auction Info
