1949 Bee Hive Corn Syrup Tie Clip, Bill Durnan. Coveted and rare redemption prize once cost twenty-five cents and a St. Lawrence Starch Co. box top, but you know how inflation can be. This specimen pictures the superstar Montreal Canadiens netminder Durnan, who appears beneath a lucite bubble at center of a miniature pinback hockey stick. Condition is quite impressive given the piece's delicate frame, with light oxidation the only culprit.Auction Info
