1948-49 Turk Broda and Bob Solinger CCM Advertising Broadsides Lot of 2. Ever since sporting good giants Nike, Reebok and Adidas took over the industry, hockey traditionalists' only chance to view the extraordinary designs and nostalgic artistry of advertising broadsides will have to come from pieces of yesteryear. Offered here is a pair of original promotional pieces from the famed CCM hockey equipment company, while featuring two hockey superstars. Issued during the 1948-49 season, these rarely seen artifacts are displayed with their original sturdy cardboard backings and stands, while the Turk Broda example exhibits noticeable water damage and additional moderate wear throughout. The Bob Solinger piece, which Heritage hockey expert Bill Campbell states is the only AHL example he has ever seen, exhibits similar wear with a tap repair at his head. Sure to brighten up the aura of any memorabilia room, it may be quite some time before similar examples show up on the auction block in the future.
