1934 Hockey Autograph Album Signed by 31 with Nels Stewart & "Babe" Siebert. While autograph albums documenting the professional game of baseball in the 1930's do arise with some degree of regularity, this certainly cannot be said of contemporary hockey, and seasoned collectors of the icy game can attest that such pre-war specimens almost never surface. So this offering should be cause for great celebration among this devoted band, as we encounter eight early Hall of Famers among the thirty-one signatures acquired by a young fan at "Hitchman Night, February 23, 1934," as the original collector notes. Rendered with flawless blue ink boldness (with no noteworthy exceptions) are early titans like Cecil "Tiny" Thompson (twice!), Ivan "Ching" Johnson, Eddie Shore (twice!), Harry Oliver, Albert "Babe" Siebert, Nelson "Old Poison" Stewart, Marty Barry and Aubrey "Dit" Clapper. A small portrait image is affixed beside most autographs, providing yet another dimension of vintage charm.
