Description

1930's Howie Morenz Signed Cut Signature Card. He was called the Babe Ruth of Hockey, though his tragic early death evokes comparisons to Lou Gehrig as well. One of the most sought after autographs in the hockey collecting hobby is presented here, which is in the form of a solid cut signature that was transformed into an attractive 2.5x3.5" trading card-style piece. Morenz' fountain pen ink autograph rates 8/10 in boldness, with an underline that goes completely through the paper and "z" in his last name. Sure to be the centerpiece in any vintage hockey signature collection, it is one of the nicest exemplars we have seen from the three-time Stanley Cup champion. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
