Mid 1980's Wayne Gretzky Game Worn Edmonton Oilers Helmet. The Great One was in the prime of his career in Edmonton when he strapped on this rare "JOFA" plastic helmet from the 1980's. One of the only Gretzky game shells ever offered by Heritage Auctions, this one exhibits superb game use, with scuff marks and sweat stains throughout. An extremely unique shell, its original "JOFA" stickers were removed, as the practice of brand label removal was consistent with Gretzky's helmets during the 1984-86 seasons. Helmet is accompanied with paperwork from one of its original owner, which states that it was purchased from well-known hockey memorabilia dealers Milt Byron.
