1968 Bobby Hull Hockey Stick Used to Score Milestone 400th Goal -- Photo Matched!

UPDATE: This stick has been photo matched to this date by PSA.

On January 7, 1968, Bobby Hull, the Chicago Blackhawks' superstar, scored his milestone 400th career goal in a game against the Boston Bruins. Known for his blistering speed and a slapshot that could reach 118 mph, Hull became the third player in NHL history to achieve this mark. This feat solidified "The Golden Jet" as one of the league's premier goal-scorers, highlighting his place among hockey's elite and thrilling fans with his exceptional skill and relentless pursuit of the net. Here we present a Northland hockey stick was used to score Hull's historic 400th goal. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from our consignor, who states he obtained the stick from his father, who originally received it from Elmer Kueltzo. "Uncle Elmer" worked for the Wirtz family's liquor distribution business. The Wirtz family owned the Blackhawks and facilitated getting Elmer the stick.

The stick itself, displays superbly, while "B. Hull" is stamped on the shaft, and "#400 1/7/68" is lightly handwritten in red ink. In addition, a yellowed piece of paper with Hull's milestone goals is taped above the blade. The blade has some cracking, but nothing significant. Letter of provenance from consignor.
