The Golden Jet soars high!

1958 Topps Bobby Hull Rookie #66 PSA NM 7. He's one of the greatest sports heroes of the city of Chicago along with Ernie Banks, Walter Payton and Michael Jordan, the only man in NHL history to lead the league in scoring seven times, and the first ever to record fifty goals in a single season. In his fifteen full NHL seasons, Hull was voted the First-Team All-Star left winger ten times, and the Second-Team All-Star left winger twice. He claimed the Hart Memorial Trophy as the Most Valuable Player of the NHL twice.

He'd finish second to Frank Mahovlich for the Calder Trophy (Rookie of the Year) during the 1957-58 season, but he was first introduced by Topps during his second professional campaign. This is the trading card that heralded his auspicious NHL debut, a colorful creation that showcases the blonde locks that inspired the "Golden Jet" nickname which would trail him throughout his life. While any superstar rookie card tends to suffer more handling than those of mere mortals, this one faced the added complication of appearing as the final card of the set, leaving many of its brethren subjected to the increased wear first and last cards commonly suffered. We encounter one of the very finest examples of that card here, a specimen bested by only nine others in nearly 500 PSA submissions. Graded PSA NM 7.
