1979 O-Pee-Chee Wayne Gretzky Rookie #18 SGC NM-MT 8 Wayne Gretzky's nickname as "The Great One" flat out states the truth about a player many revere as the hockey GOAT. Gretzky's greatness started early. His father built young Wayne a hockey rink in his back yard, and soon Wayne was playing hockey with older players and became a prodigy, once scoring an astounding 378 goals in one season as a 10-year-old Pee Wee. Then as Gretzky entered the NHL he led Edmonton to four Stanley Cups. In 1981-82, Gretzky set all-time NHL records that he still holds by scoring 92 goals and adding 120 assists for 212 points. He won the Hart Trophy as the NHL MVP nine times and won the Art Ross Trophy as the league's scoring champ eight times. Our offered card is the Canadian version of the most important hockey card issued and is an essential entry of any advanced hockey collection. Graded SGC NM-MT 8.
