1966 Topps Bobby Orr Rookie #35 PSA EX-MT 6 from The Patrick Roy Collection. Quite possibly the most coveted hockey card in the entire universe of hockey cards is the 1966 Topps Bobby Orr rookie card. The Boston Bruins organization caught wind of his prodigious skill at the tender age of fourteen. An exceptional talent, Orr was ready for the big stage of the NHL by the time he was eighteen years old graced with superb speed, phenomenal stickhandling and out-of-this-world defensive prowess. Few who had seen him play would say that the Bruins were out of line when they made the teen the highest-paid player in NHL history for his rookie campaign. To say that he was good in his debut professional campaign would be a glaring understatement. The Calder Trophy (top rookie), a spot on the Second All-Star Team and second in scoring by defenseman are all rookie-year honors. Orr revitalized Beantown's zest for hockey much in the same way that Eddie Shore had sparked it generations before.

Graded PSA EX-MT 6. The physical condition of the card starts with surfaces free of blemishes. Gloss is shiny and consistent. Proof of handling has been kept to a minimum. Corners all come to 90-degree angles with defined tips while showing hints of wear. Centering is a hairline away from precise. A very strong example that would fit nicely into any collection. This is from Patrick Roy's personal collection and will have a letter of provenance from Roy.
