1955-56 Parkhurst Hockey Complete Set (79) - #5 on the PSA Set Registry. This assembly ranks #5 on the "All-Time Finest" list on the PSA Set Registry with an 7.75 GPA! That average is nothing short of remarkable for what is the most condition sensitive hockey set - maybe ever. Sixty-eight cards (86%) are graded NM-MT or NM-MT+. Thirty-eight cards equal the highest grade on record. Of those cards eight have pops of five or less (two are Pop One! Currently, PSA has graded over 6,800 cards from this classic issue. Less than one-half of one-percent have graded Mint. Less than 15% have graded NM-MT. The set is famous for the roster of both contemporary and all-time great players and action scenes. Of course the key entry is the rookie card debut of HoFer Jacques Plante and this is an exceptionally clean, colorful example.
